Salary: £29,891 pa rising to £35,278 pa after four years’ service, plus Outer London Weighting Allowance of £3,226 pa.

Location: Unit 6, 17 Whitestone Way, Croydon, CR0 4WF

Hours of Work for Vacancy 1: 10.00 am – 6.00 pm (Monday to Thursday), 10.00 am – 5.00 pm (Friday).

Hours of Work for Vacancy 2: 8.00 am – 4.00 pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.00 am – 3.00 pm (Friday).

The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK’s largest trade unions.

A vacancy exists for an Administrator based at the Union’s Croydon Office. Please note that this position is fully office based.

Principal duties are: to provide a typing and clerical service, assisting in the provision of help and advice to members.

The successful applicant will possess: telephone and reception skills; the ability to work harmoniously in a small team and with individual colleagues; demonstrates tact, initiative and discretion; the ability to communicate effectively; well-developed planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines; IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
