Starting your IT career? Join a business where you'll have the opportunity to learn.
Are you looking for your first proper step into IT support, or have you recently started your career and want to develop your technical skills?
Imagine joining an established IT and telecoms business where you'll support real customers, work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies rather than doing the same task every day.
We're recruiting for a growing business technology provider with more than 30 years' experience supporting customers across Dorset and Hampshire.
What's in it for you?
Salary of £26,000–£28,000 depending on experience
23 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after two years
Training and development alongside experienced IT engineers
Exposure to Microsoft 365, networking, hardware and business IT systems
Pension scheme with 3% employer contribution
Death-in-service benefit after one year's service
Opportunities for enhanced sick pay
Free parking
The opportunity
You'll join a friendly technical support team, helping business customers resolve their everyday IT issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to customer IT enquiries by telephone, email and support tickets
Diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues
Providing remote support to business users
Escalating more complex problems to experienced engineers
Keeping customers updated and maintaining accurate support records
Developing your technical knowledge through practical experience
What we're looking for
You might be an IT graduate, an apprentice completing your training or someone with around a year's experience in a support environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
A genuine interest in IT and technology
Some practical knowledge of Windows PCs and Microsoft 365
Good communication and customer service skills
A logical approach to problem-solving
A willingness to learn and develop
Previous helpdesk experience would be beneficial, but you don't need to know everything already.
If you're looking for an opportunity to build a strong foundation in IT support within an established, growing business, we'd like to hear from you
