Air Conditioning Installation Engineer

Stay local, drive a company van and sleep at home every night. No motorway marathons, no hotel rooms, no nationwide rota.
We're recruiting a permanent Domestic Air Conditioning Installer for an established AC and building services company with over three decades in the trade. The role is built around a fixed patch in and around Crawley, and you'll be fully equipped from day one.
What you'll be doing
You'll install wall-mounted split and multi-split air conditioning systems in residential homes. Every job is planned and booked by the office, so you'll be working from an organised diary, not chasing a rota from one end of the country to the other.
You'll also survey some of your own installs a few weeks before they happen. You get to see each job before you're standing in front of it, so a poor survey by someone else won't catch you out.
Self-employed? You'd be swapping quotes and unpaid invoices for a steady salary, planned work and paid holiday.
What we need from you

• Solid hands-on experience installing domestic air conditioning (split and multi-split)
• The confidence to carry out your own site surveys
• Professional, tidy and courteous standards in customers' homes

Is it the right move?
This is domestic work only, with no VRV, no VRF, no chillers or plant rooms, and no nationwide travel. If you want lots of commercial variety or a depot to report to every morning, this won't suit you. If you'd like well-planned local installs and your evenings back, it will.
Pay and benefits

• £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
• Permanent, directly employed
• Company van and all installation kit provided
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Paid overtime, with optional weekend work if you want the extra
• Travel paid beyond the first 15 minutes of each journey
• A defined patch around Crawley, with no overnight stays

If you're ready to trade hotel stays, motorway miles or self-employed admin for steady, organised local work, we'd like to hear from you.
