The Role

As Lead Civil Engineer, you will oversee a vital component of a significant new-build project at the Sellafield site, specialising in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure. Your responsibilities include planning civil design scopes, managing delivery schedules, leading a team of engineers and designers, and ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and project-specific standards. You will coordinate cross-discipline collaboration, develop 3D models and detailed drawings, and provide technical oversight throughout the project’s lifecycle.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

A civil or structural engineering degree, with chartered status preferred.
Proven, extensive experience in civil design, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
Expert proficiency in civil design software such as Infodrainage, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD.
Experience working within regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience is highly desirable, but other industrial backgrounds will be considered.
Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
