Senior / Principal Structural Engineer
Flexible UK Location | Hybrid Working
I'm working with a leading engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to support the delivery of major water and wastewater projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineer who wants to work on significant infrastructure schemes from concept through to construction. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence design decisions, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in delivering sustainable solutions within the water sector.
What You'll Be Doing
Structural design of reinforced concrete and steel structures for water and wastewater projects.
Producing calculations and reviewing drawings, models and subcontractor designs.
Coordinating with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering teams.
Supporting project delivery, ensuring designs are safe, buildable and cost-effective.
Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
What We're Looking For
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Strong structural design experience within the water sector.
Experience using STAAD.Pro, Tekla Tedds and Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of Eurocodes, CDM regulations and construction health & safety.
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
Water industry experience
Desirable
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
Experience designing water-retaining structures.
BIM knowledge and experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
