An established engineering contractor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of a major infrastructure programme within the energy and utilities sector.
This role offers a blend of design, engineering assurance and project delivery responsibilities across a long-term project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review mechanical and process engineering designs.
Review PFDs and P&IDs.
Carry out engineering calculations and technical assessments.
Specify mechanical and process equipment.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and design risk assessments.
Support procurement, construction and commissioning.
Liaise with suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders.
Assist with multidisciplinary design reviews and value engineering.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
Experience within energy, utilities, industrial or process environments.
Knowledge of pressure systems, pipework and process equipment.
Strong understanding of process safety and engineering standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
