Audit Senior

Audit Senior | Banbury | £45,000 – £55,000 | Permanent

A growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take real ownership of the work. You will sit close to the Directors, shape how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help bring on the junior team.

This is an audit-led seat with some accounts exposure, so you will keep a broad skill set rather than being boxed into one corner. Relocators will be considered.

What you'll be doing
Leading audits from planning through to sign-off, including more complex clients
Scoping assignments, setting deadlines and allocating the team's time
Testing internal controls and giving clients practical, commercial recommendations
Working directly with Directors and clients, and writing clear audit reports
Supervising and developing junior colleagues
Helping to improve the firm's audit, risk and assurance processes
Some accounts preparation alongside the audit workWhat you'll bring
ACA or ACCA qualified
Proven experience leading audit teams in practice
Solid grounding in audit standards and FRS 102
Confident with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks (Caseware or CCH a bonus)
Strong communication, organisation and client-management skillsWhat's on offer
Salary £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience
