CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established FM service provider on a static commercial site in Farringdon, working as the sole engineer responsible for a 10-floor building.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of a site, and delivering high standards of maintenance across a multi-storey commercial building.

You'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of all building services across 10 floors, ensuring the building operates efficiently while maintaining a professional, client-facing service.

This role offers a stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern, overtime opportunities, ongoing training and development, and long-term career prospects.

THE ROLE
Monday – Friday

08:00 – 17:00

Static commercial site in Farringdon

Single-man site – sole engineer on-site

Responsible for maintenance across 10 floors

Up to £45,000 per annum

PPM and reactive maintenance

Electrical and general building services maintenance

Client-facing role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of site maintenance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across all 10 floors

Electrical fault-finding, lighting, power distribution and control panels

Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing

BMS monitoring and plant checks

Maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant

Minor plumbing and general fabric maintenance

Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation

Diagnose and resolve faults across building services

Coordinate and escort specialist contractors when required

Maintain excellent health and safety standards

Liaise professionally with the client and site management

Take ownership of the building's day-to-day maintenance requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 Electrical or equivalent

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Previous commercial building maintenance experience

Strong electrical fault-finding skills

Good understanding of mechanical and general building services

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Reliable, proactive and capable of taking ownership of a site

Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
