Domestic Electrical Testing Engineer
Temporary to Permanent
8.00am - 16.30pm with half an hour for lunch

Salary is dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Electrical Testing Engineer to join our client based in Swindon.
Core Responsibilities

Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in domestic homes.
Perform electrical inspections to ensure compliance with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
Carry out remedial works following failed or unsatisfactory EICRs.
Diagnose electrical faults and complete corrective actions.
Document findings using digital reporting tools (laptops/tablets).
Liaise with tenants, housing officers, or property managers to ensure smooth access and communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification & ECS card essential.
Strong understanding of domestic electrical systems.
Ability to work independently across multiple properties per day.
Good communication and digital reporting skills.
