Senior Electronics Design Engineer | £60,000-£65,000 | Reading

Currently recruiting for an exciting Senior Electronics Design Engineer opportunity based in Reading, offering a salary of £60,000-£65,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package.

My client is a leading supplier of anti-vibration mounts, avionics racking, and illuminated control and display systems, supporting the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors in the UK and internationally.

Key details of the role:

Location: Reading
Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum
Experience: Minimum 10 years within a manufacturing environment, ideally in aerospace or defence
Technical skills: Altium, electronic circuit and system design, technical drawings, and engineering verification and validation
Additional experience: Knowledge of aerospace/defence standards, reliability prediction (MTBF), and component obsolescence would be beneficial.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the design of electronic circuits and systems.
Reviewing customer requirements and preparing bills of materials and project cost estimates.
Managing project risks and leading verification and validation activities.
Designing and reviewing test equipment and procedures.
Supporting project teams and mentoring engineers where required.
