We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Operative and Reception support role to join our existing team in the vibrant coastal city of Portsmouth. Portsmouth has easy transport links to London and is situated close to the Isle of Wight with access to the countryside (South Downs) within 30–40 minutes for hiking, cycling, and weekend trips. The city has a combination of historic attractions, a vibrant social scene and holds regular arts, music, and sporting events.

The Role:

To contribute towards the efficient day to day running of the stores department, adhering to department processes and procedures. Provide face-to-face contact with service users, and support administrative needs for the smooth running of the service. This is a dual role required to support Stores and Reception during defined periods of the day.

Responsibilities include:

Ordering

Use Sage X3 computer system to print despatch notes, log deliveries and ensure parts are issued to work orders.
Liaison with Purchasing if problem with delivery or number of goods received.
Order products kept in store
Placing special orders
Complete Prosthetic Invoicing

Postal and packaging

Pack and label parts and manage incoming and outgoing postal deliveries.
Fill in courier details for package.
Receive and allocate goods in

Stock management

Support the Stores person with stocktaking – counting and checking all parts within the centre stockrooms.
Support the store person in completing returns, credits and maintenance logs.
Support the team with Orthotic stock reporting

Administration and Reception

Provide cover for all admin functions where required.
Welcoming and booking in/out all patients and visitors that attend
Booking patients appointments for all departments face to face and via telephone
Answering and making telephone calls
Ensure all paperwork recorded and processed through Steeper Systems in accordance with set procedures

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

Computer literacy- Familiarity with Databases, typing skills
