Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Human Resources Officer to join a busy and supportive college team in Leicester. This is a full-time, all year-round position, starting ASAP, with maternity cover commencing from the end of November 2026 for up to 12 months or upon the return of the postholder.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
Supporting the full employee lifecycle for a designated staff group.
Managing staff absence processes and maintaining HR records.
Producing HR correspondence and contractual documentation.
Providing HR advice and support to staff and managers.
Supporting employee relations casework and investigations.
Assisting with HR reporting, compliance, policies, and wellbeing initiatives.
Deputising for the HR Manager when required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Previous HR experience is essential.
Level 5 CIPD is desirable but not essential.
Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment practices.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage a varied workload and maintain confidentiality.
Experience within education or a similar environment is advantageous.
