Systems Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Landing Gear Systems Engineer to support the development and modification of aircraft landing gear systems, with a focus on braking and steering systems, requirements, safety, testing and validation, while working closely with engineering teams, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

Role: Systems Engineer
Pay: £30 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: 35 hours per week, 12 months contract
Location: Filton - 60% onsite
IR35: Inside
SC Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities:

Participate in the design development and modifications of the Braking and Steering System
Work with other ATA32 Engineers and signatories along with interfaces such as Systems and Structures, Certification Specialists, Chief Engineers, Procurement and Vendors
Support Airbus Commercial ATA32 System activities, including introducing new functionality to systems, ensuring robust cascade of requirements to the system, and lead development of the system to meet the requirements
Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification (V&V) activities. This is whilst ensuring activity meets Safety and technical needs, following the appropriate processes and procedures, demonstrating strong requirement adherence and V&V
Requirements:

Essential

Engineering degree
Experience in aerospace/aeronautical systems engineering
Good knowledge of aircraft systems
Requirements capture/cascade and V&V experience
Knowledge of aircraft safety processes and regulations (e.g. ARP 4754, Part-21, CS 25.1309)
Ability to work with suppliers, structures, certification and procurement teamsDesirable

Experience with landing gear and hydraulic systems
Knowledge of avionics associated with braking and steering
