ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

£40-£44 per hour | London Bridge | 3-Month Contract | 37.5 Hours

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy on an initial three-month contract, supporting a varied portfolio of residential, student accommodation and hotel projects.

The requirement is for a technically strong contractor who can take ownership of electrical design work rather than simply provide additional resource. There will also be opportunities for client-facing involvement, so the role would suit someone comfortable discussing designs and working directly with project stakeholders.

The preference is for four days per week in the London Bridge office, although greater flexibility can be considered for an exceptional candidate.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

Delivering electrical Building Services design across live projects
Working across residential, student accommodation and hotel schemes
Producing and developing technical electrical design information
Taking ownership of design tasks and project requirements
Coordinating electrical designs with wider MEP disciplines
Reviewing and resolving technical design issues
Working closely with engineers and wider project teams
Supporting project delivery against programme requirements
Attending meetings and providing client-facing technical input where requiredWhat They're Looking For

Strong experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
Building Services / MEP consultancy experience
Strong electrical design capability
Ability to independently manage design tasks and technical requirements
Experience across residential, student accommodation and/or hotel projects
Good multidisciplinary coordination skills
Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
Confident communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable providing client-facing input when required
Ideally available to work from London Bridge four days per weekThe priority is a capable, hands-on designer who can add value quickly and work confidently within the existing project team.
