Temporary - (9 - 12 Month Maternity Cover)

£29,000 per annum

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

This is a varied role, but the primary focus will be the management of customer orders from receipt through to delivery. You'll liaise with customers regarding orders and delivery dates, process sales orders and invoices, support the Operations Manager and Engineering Manager, and ensure information is maintained accurately within internal systems. The role will also involve providing wider administrative support across the business and covering colleagues' responsibilities during periods of holiday and absence.

Duties will include:

• Processing customer sales orders from receipt through to invoicing.
• Producing order acknowledgements and pro-forma invoices.
• Liaising with customers regarding order progress, deliveries and general queries.
• Entering and maintaining customer information on internal systems.
• Working closely with warehouse and operational teams to ensure orders are shipped on time.
• Updating order progress and dispatch information.
• Monitoring outstanding payments and supporting credit control activities.
• Assisting with logistics and arranging deliveries through couriers and transport providers.
• Booking travel and accommodation for engineers.
• Supporting purchasing activities when required.
• Maintaining accurate records, databases and project documentation.
• Providing administrative support to the Operations Manager and Engineering Manager.
• Supporting other administrative functions across the business during holiday cover periods.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in Sales Administration, Sales Order Processing, Customer Service Administration or a similar office-based administrative role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to support different areas of the business.
