JCB Engineer

Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire

Are you the sort of person who enjoys getting machines back to work, solving problems, and taking pride in a job well done?

We're looking for a JCB Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team in Ross-on-Wye. Whether you're an experienced plant engineer or have worked on agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment, we'd love to hear from you.

This isn't just another engineering job. You'll be joining a business that values its people, invests in training, and recognises that great engineers are the heart of the operation.

What you'll be doing

Every day is different. One day you could be carrying out a routine service, the next diagnosing a complex fault or helping a customer get a machine back up and running when they need it most.

Your duties will include:

• Servicing and maintaining a wide range of JCB machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Attending customer breakdowns and providing effective solutions
• Completing inspections and preventative maintenance work
• Keeping accurate service records and job reports
• Delivering excellent customer service and representing the business professionally

What we're looking for

You don't need to know every JCB model inside out. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to solve problems.

Ideally you'll have:

• Experience working on plant machinery, agricultural equipment, HGVs, construction equipment or similar
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
• A full UK driving licence
• A positive, can-do attitude and pride in your work

What you'll get in return

We know good engineers are worth their weight in gold, so we make sure they're looked after.

• Competitive salary based on experience
• Plenty of overtime available
• Company vehicle
• Ongoing manufacturer and technical training
• Career progression opportunities
• Pension scheme
• Friendly and supportive management team
• Long-term job security with a respected business
