Client Advice Proposition Manager

Shape the offer. Sharpen the edge. Deliver what clients need.

Mattioli Woods is one of the UK's leading wealth management and employee benefits consultancies. Following a recent private equity acquisition, we have the ambition and the backing to accelerate and that means investing in propositions that are genuinely differentiated, commercially competitive and built around client outcomes.

We're looking for a Client Advice Proposition Manager to own and evolve our wealth planning and pension advice propositions, bridging strategy and delivery across advisory, distribution and compliance teams.

This is a role for someone who can read the market, understand the regulatory landscape and translate both into proposition frameworks that advisers can use and clients genuinely value.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in proposition development, management or design within wealth management, financial planning or broader financial services
• Strong understanding of the wealth planning and pension advice market, competitors, client expectations and regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of Consumer Duty and FCA suitability standards as they apply to advice propositions
• Excellent written skills; able to produce committee papers, proposition documentation and client-facing materials to a high standard
• Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable working across distribution, advisory, compliance and change functions

What you'll be doing:

• Owning the development and continuous improvement of the firm's wealth planning and pension advice propositions
• Conducting market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities ahead of the curve
• Defining and maintaining the proposition framework, target client segments, service levels, advice journeys and supporting documentation
• Working with the Product Governance Manager to ensure propositions support fair value and Consumer Duty evidencing
• Preparing proposition papers for the Investment & Proposition Governance Committee (IPGC) and Product and Proposition Committee
• Supporting post-acquisition integration where proposition alignment is required across newly acquired businesses

What's in it for you:

• Hybrid working, combining home and office-based (London & Leicester) collaboration
• 34.5-hour working week and 25 days' holiday, increasing with service
• Pension scheme with 5% employer contribution
• Health cash plan, life assurance and group income protection
• Ongoing training, development and real long-term career opportunities within an ambitious and supportive culture

Mattioli Woods is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds.

If you're a proposition professional ready to shape something meaningful in an ambitious, growing business, we'd like to hear from you.
