Our established client is seeing an experienced Key Account Manager specifically commercial vehicles (HGV). The role is permanent, full time, field based.

Job Title: Key Account Manager (UK & ROI)
Location: Field-based (UK-wide travel 3 4 days per week)
Salary/Package: £60,000 - £68,000 basic salary + Performance Bonus + Company Car

Our client is seeking an ambitious and highly strategic Key Account Manager to drive their direct sales and commercial activities across the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI). In this field-based role, you will hold full accountability for delivering company objectives across market share, profit margins, invoiced units, and inventory management. You will work within a collaborative, cross-functional matrix organisation, spearheading value-added commercial strategies and pioneering growth in future mobility solutions, including electrification, CNG, and LNG gas optimisation.

Key Account Manager skills and experience:

Ideally 10 years of solid commercial experience within the Commercial Vehicles Industry.
Strong academic background, ideally to university level.
Deep understanding of commercial vehicles, including specifications, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) services, and asset finance options.
Proven 360-degree account management skills with the ability to leverage value-added solutions and bespoke offers rather than relying on discounts.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; highly methodical with strong attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
A full, clean driving licence and valid eligibility to work in the UK.
Willingness to travel 3 4 days a week with occasional overnight stays.

Key Account Manager key responsibilities:

Account Management & Growth: Manage direct sales activity to ensure optimal market coverage; explore and secure new conquest accounts to drive continuous market growth.
Portfolio & Risk Management: Expand the customer portfolio across both risk and buyback sales while maintaining high-quality CRM data.
Future Mobility: Support corporate targets around green energy solutions (electrification, CNG/LNG gas vehicles) and exploit opportunities in the leasing channel (GATE).
Commercial Strategy: Work closely with Product, Planning, and technical teams to ensure vehicle specifications remain fiercely competitive and perfectly aligned with customer missions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Direct Sales, Admin, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth order execution, accurate deal validation (DOA), and seamless invoicing processes.
Marketing Support: Actively support product presentations, demonstrations, promotional events, and local financial campaigns.
