• Coordinating pre-application activities, stakeholder engagement and consultation processes.
• Supporting projects through examination, including preparing written representations, Statements of Common Ground and responses to the Examining Authority.
• Liaising with local planning authorities, the Planning Inspectorate, statutory consultees, legal advisers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Monitoring changes in planning legislation, national policy and the NSIP consenting regime, advising clients on their implications.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to develop new business.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the wider planning team.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a broader range of town planning projects, providing variety and exposure to different sectors and development types.

About You

We are keen to hear from experienced planning professionals who are confident managing complex projects and building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing competing project deadlines.
• Excellent report‑writing, analytical and communication skills.
• The confidence to engage with clients, stakeholders and public bodies, including presenting at meetings, consultations or hearings.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify solutions and take ownership of projects.

Experience across sectors such as energy, transport, utilities, water, waste or other major infrastructure would be advantageous.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a growing consultancy where you can make a tangible contribution to major projects while developing your own professional profile.

You will benefit from:

• Exposure to a varied portfolio of infrastructure and development projects.
• The opportunity to work alongside experienced planning, transport and environmental professionals.
• A collaborative working environment with access to multidisciplinary expertise.
• Greater responsibility for project delivery, client relationships and business development.
