We are looking to recruit committed, resilient, empathetic and engaging Waking Night Support Workers to our team at Spring Hill School!
We want people who will deliver a model of positive behaviour support to empower our young people. In this role you will ultimately be implementing positive change to their lives, helping them gain self-regulation skills and develop greater lifelong independence.
As a key part of the dedicated teams we allocate to every child, you’ll have a vital role in helping children and develop skills for life. You don’t need any special qualifications, but you do need to share our passion to help children be the very best they can be.
In return, our new and improved training programmes will help you develop your professional skills. And you’ll also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession through our ongoing mentoring and support.
Spring Hill School caters for children and young people up to and including 365 days of the year as some young people reside on a 52-week residential basis; therefore there may be some requirements to work a rota pattern across 7 days of the week.
Spring Hill School is situated in the outskirts of Ripon in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and seaside towns such as Whitby. The site covers over 30 acres and offers fantastic facilities for learning and leisure. The schools location allows our children and young people to take advantage of being close to the local community to develop important life and social skills.
We pride ourselves on being an Equal Opportunities Employer. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
Cambian will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the search and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
