Salary: £37,000 - £42,000, dependent on skills and experience

Contract: Full-time

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer.

You will be responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable and efficient operation of machinery, equipment and site facilities through planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding and continuous improvement.

You will have a primary site but may occasionally be required to support our Northampton location during periods of peak demand, annual leave, sickness absence and other operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete effective repairs.
• Undertake mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
• Apply electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault-finding skills where required.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support machinery installation, modification and improvement.
• Maintain engineering spares, tools and equipment.
• Work safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to the Maintenance Apprentice.
• Provide engineering support across both sites when required.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving regular walking, standing and manual handling. PPE is required at all times.

Shift working may apply depending on operational requirements. Flexibility to work at the other site will be required when necessary.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, reliable and experienced Maintenance Engineer who takes ownership of their work, is confident fault finding and problem solving, and takes pride in high standards of safety, reliability and workmanship.

You will be comfortable working independently, taking initiative and working collaboratively with Production and other departments.
