The Role

We are looking for someone to own organic search across our entire brand portfolio.

Superior Wellness runs seven brands: Platinum Spas, Chill Tubs, AquaSolus, Hekla Saunas, Portcril, The Wellness Co and Hot Tub & Spa Parts. We sell through a global dealer network and direct to consumer, across the UK, Europe, the United States and Canada. Organic search has not had a dedicated owner, and it shows. Visibility across three of our domains has fallen sharply over the last twelve months, and we have brands ranking well for their own name and very little else.

This is a hands-on role. You will not be managing a content team or a link building team, because we do not have one. You will be doing the technical audits, writing the specifications, working directly with our two web developers to get fixes implemented, producing the content, and building the authority. It is a genuinely broad brief and it suits someone who wants to own a channel outright rather than run one part of it.

We already know where the problems are. What we need is someone who can fix them, in the right order, and prove the commercial return.

You will work alongside our incoming PPC Manager, so paid and organic sit together and pull in the same direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Own organic search performance across all seven brand domains in the UK, EU, US and Canada, and be accountable for the numbers
• Run full technical audits and diagnose what has caused our visibility to decline, then write clear specifications for our web developers and see them through to implementation
• Manage international SEO across our WordPress and Shopify sites, including hreflang and our regional subfolders, several of which currently return no visibility at all
• Build and deliver a keyword and content strategy per brand, based on commercial intent rather than volume alone
• Write and optimise content yourself: category pages, product copy, buying guides and ownership content
• Improve internal linking and site architecture across a multi-domain estate
• Build authority through digital PR, our dealer network, ambassador partnerships and our own data-led reports
• Own reporting in SISTRIX, Google Search Console and GA4, and report performance to the senior team monthly
• Track and improve our visibility in AI search, including Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT
• Work closely with the PPC Manager so organic and paid are planned together, not separately

What We’re Looking For

• Four or more years in SEO, with real hands-on delivery rather than agency account management
• Proven technical SEO capability: you have personally diagnosed and recovered a site that lost rankings, and can talk us through exactly what you did
• Confident writing technical specifications and working with developers to get them delivered
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Shopify
• Comfortable with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and a visibility platform such as SISTRIX, Ahrefs or Semrush
• Able to write good content yourself, not just brief it
• Commercially minded: you prioritise by what makes money, and you can explain your reasoning to people who are not SEO specialists
• Self-directed. Nobody here will be checking your work for you, and you will be setting your own roadmap
• Experience running SEO across multiple domains or brands at once
• International SEO experience, particularly hreflang and multi-market subfolders
• Ecommerce SEO experience
• Digital PR or link acquisition experience
• Some understanding of how AI search and large language models surface brands
• Experience in retail, home and garden, wellness or a considered-purchase category
