We're looking for an experienced IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Specialist to join a well-known UK online retailer.

This is a great opportunity to join a small specialist team as a genuine IWS subject matter expert, working alongside an experienced colleague in a business-critical area.

You'll be involved across:

Building scripts that run through IWS
Creating and maintaining batch schedules
In-depth problem analysis and resolution
Mainframe work, including JCL and REXX
Working with a small, friendly technical team

You'll be joining at an interesting time, with the chance to help shape and support the ongoing development of the IWS environment.

You'll need:

Significant, recent hands‑on IWS experience, ideally with more recent versions
Proven experience building scripts and batch schedules (not just running or monitoring jobs)
Mainframe knowledge, specifically JCL and REXX
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Current, up‑to‑date experience of IWS and mainframe environments

Nice to have:

Experience of IWS upgrades
