Location: North West England (Ideally 3 days per week in Runcorn)

Travel: Approximately 20% across customer sites

We are recruiting for a highly commercial and relationship-focused Senior Strategic Account Manager to join a leading international manufacturing business. This is a high-profile role responsible for managing a portfolio of major accounts worth between £12M-£24M, working with some of the most recognised brand owners and multinational organisations across Europe.

These are established, revenue-generating accounts with significant growth potential. The successful candidate will be trusted to protect existing business, identify new opportunities, and act as a strategic partner to key customers.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional account management role. You'll become the commercial lead for a portfolio of strategically important customers, managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

You'll be joining an established European commercial team and working closely with international leadership, requiring confidence, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 4-10 strategic customer accounts across Europe.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Drive account retention while identifying opportunities for expansion and new business growth.
• Lead commercial discussions with major brand owners and multinational organizations.
• Manage customer projects from concept through to launch, coordinating internal stakeholders throughout the process.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for key customers and build long-term strategic partnerships.
• Work closely with technical, operational, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Host customer visits and travel regularly across UK and Europe to strengthen relationships.
• Provide commercial leadership on new product introductions and innovation projects.
• In some cases, provide guidance and leadership to Account Managers supporting strategic accounts.

About You

We're looking for a seasoned and commercially astute account management professional who can operate autonomously and confidently at senior stakeholder level.

Essential Experience

• Proven success managing large, complex strategic customer accounts.
• Experience working with multinational customers, major brands, or large manufacturing organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for significant revenue streams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and delivering customer-led initiatives.
• Able to work independently and confidently within an international business environment.
• Resilient, pragmatic, and comfortable operating under pressure.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
