Partnerships Business Development Manager

Overview

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, will play a pivotal role leading strategic category growth initiatives, combining new business acquisition with high-value partnership development. You will be driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strategic alliances to deliver sustainable competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

• Working with theSeniorCommercial Strategy Manager,define and execute the overall business development and partnership strategy aligned withorganisationalgoals.
• Drive the delivery and execution of agreedrevenue growth targets and partnershipobjectives.
• Identifyand secure new business opportunities to drive marketexpansion, brandgrowthand profitability., presentingstrong business cases to influence senior stakeholders and future decision making
• Oversee market research and competitoranalysis tounderstand trendsand competitiveadvantages byinformingstrategic decisions, generation ofleads,andprioritisingprospects.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations toshowcasevalue propositions, forming and making commercial recommendations to vendors
• Lead client acquisitionand relationship management toestablishand nurture strategic partnerships with key brands, distributors, andretailers.
• Negotiate high-value agreements and ensure compliance with legal and contractual standards.
• Actively visit across the Uk key partnerships, supporting ongoing relationships, continuous improvement,growthand development
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery,includingCommercialOps, Fulfillment, Digital,Marketing,Legal, QA, Ethical & Sustainability, and Finance.
• Analyseand action pipeline progress, revenue forecasts, and vendor metrics.Present performance insights to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement, challenging how we do things today, leading and influencing new ways of working.

Key KPIs:

• Revenue Growth: Achievement of annual and quarterly revenue targets.
• Strategic Partnerships: Number and quality of high-value partnershipsestablished.
• Market Expansion: Successful entry into newcategories & markets.
• Executive Reporting: Timely andaccuratedelivery of performance insightsintoleadership

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business development and partnership managementor strategic account managementwithin the retail industry.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and consumer trends
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget ownership and forecasting.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiencyin CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
• Resilient and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
