DevOps Consultant - some travel to hubs ad hoc

Location: Remote with ad-hoc travel to Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds or Blackpool

Travel: Candidates must be able to travel to a DWP hub when required for key meetings.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant to support the Azure Data Platform within Health and Disability.

You will develop CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains, with a strong focus on automation, cloud infrastructure, resilience and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product teams to deliver secure, scalable and maintainable Azure solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

• Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• GitLab CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
• Monitoring experience with Prometheus/Grafana .
• Unix/Linux/Windows and scripting experience.
• Experience working in Agile DevOps / Platform Engineering environments.
• Experience supporting and developing engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of loosely defined technical work.
• Experience delivering PoCs, proof of capabilities and technical improvements.
• Active SC Clearance.
• Databricks
• Kafka / Kafka Connect

Ideal candidate: A proactive, autonomous DevOps engineer with strong Azure Data Platform experience who can take ownership, solve complex problems and drive delivery.
