The role

The Senior Business Development Manageris a senior individualcontributorrole. This is one of the most commercially impactful positions within Bionic, responsible for creating entirely new routes to market through strategic enterprise partnerships.

Thisisn’ta role for someone who waits for opportunities to arrive.We’relooking for an ambitious enterprise hunter who combines the credibility to engage C-level executives with the grit to relentlessly open doors, create momentum and turn complex opportunities into commercial reality.

Bionic holds strong distribution across the UK’s household-name price comparison websites, including Compare the Market andConfused.com, where we exclusively power their business switching services.

To support our next critical phase of growth, this role is dedicated to driving inbound lead volume by winning and onboarding new strategic enterprise partnerships.Your focus will be on major ecosystems with significant SME customer bases-thinkorganisationslike Sage, Barclays, Revolut,Amazonand eBay.

You’llcombine strategic thinking with relentless execution-identifyingopportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, shaping compelling commercialpropositionsand driving deals from the first conversation through to launch.

Success in this role requires equalpartshunter,strategistand operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Targeted outreach-Activelytargetandpenetratea defined list of high-value enterprise prospects, whilst continuallyidentifyingnew strategic opportunities.
• End-to-end deal execution-Own the complete sales cycle frominitialoutreach and discovery through to complex commercial negotiations,contractingand signature.
• Proposition development-Work collaboratively with Product, Commercial and Marketing teams toidentifyroutes to market usingBionic’sexisting capabilities whilst also shaping bespoke commercial propositions whererequired.
• Commercial validation-Model and forecast opportunities to ensure they deliver attractive commercial outcomes, balancing revenue potential against investment and implementation effort.
• Seamless execution-Lead opportunitiesthroughlaunch, ensuring excellent internal handovers andmaintainingmomentum throughout implementation.
• Processoptimisation-Continuously improve how weidentify,pursueand convert enterprise partnership opportunities.

You understand that the quality of the proposition and messaging is often what wins the first meeting. Experience creating business development content, campaigns or working closely with Marketing to develop high-performing outreach is highly desirable.
• Executive presence-You can comfortably engage CEOs, Commercial Directors, Partnership Directors and Product leaders,adaptingyour style whilemaintainingcredibility with every audience.
• Master of execution-Youdon’tsimply win signatures—you drive momentum from first conversation to successful launch. You obsess over execution,maintainpaceand ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
• Internal influencer-You know how to navigate a fast-moving business, bringing together Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal and Operations behind a common commercial goal. You build compelling business cases, influence priorities through commercialvalue,and create momentum without relying on hierarchy or bureaucracy.
• Resilient with a ‘nothing is impossible’ mindset-You thrive in challenging environments,maintainingenergy and optimism through lengthy enterprise sales cycles. You know that the biggest opportunities require persistence,creativity,and determination.

Required skills

• Commercial modelling and deal structuring.
• Complex enterprise negotiation.
• Strong understanding of APIs, embeddedsolutionsand technology ecosystems.
• Exceptional value proposition design.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and project execution.
• Excellent segmentation, accountplanningand enterprise prospecting capability.

Required Experience

• Substantialexperience in Enterprise Business Development or Strategic Partnerships, withsignificant experiencesecuring enterprise-level partnerships.
• A proventrack recordof personally originating,negotiatingand closing major corporate partnerships.
• Experience selling into largeorganisationswith multiple stakeholders and complex buying processes.
• Background within FinTech, SaaS, Banking, Technology,Marketplacesor similar high-growth B2B businesses would be highlyadvantageous.
