Senior Commercial Lawyer (6-Month Contract)

About the Opportunity
A global technology, retail and logistics business is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join its European legal team on an initial six-month contract. The legal function supports a dynamic international organisation operating across e-commerce, technology, distribution and logistics, and is currently experiencing increased demand across a broad range of commercial matters.

The Role

This is a fast-paced position providing legal support across multiple areas of the business. You will work closely with stakeholders across Europe and beyond, advising on a variety of commercial and contractual issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on a broad range of general commercial and contractual matters
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Supporting distribution arrangements with suppliers, brands and commercial partners
• Advising on and negotiating technology-related contracts
• Partnering closely with business stakeholders across various teams and functions
• Delivering pragmatic, risk-based legal advice in a fast-moving environment
• Managing multiple priorities and legal workstreams simultaneously

About You

• Qualified lawyer with significant commercial contracts experience
• Strong background advising on a wide range of commercial agreements
• Experience with distribution, supplier and technology agreements is highly desirable
• Previous exposure to the technology, retail, e-commerce or logistics sectors would be advantageous
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing a varied workload
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to provide practical, business-focused legal advice

Assignment Details

• Location: London (hybrid working)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Initial 6-month contract
• Working Pattern: Full-time
• IR35 Status: Multiple engagement models available
