Quantity Surveyor – M&E / Building Services

Summary

We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver commercial management on a major long-term construction project in Ardrossan. This role is ideal for professionals with strong NEC4 (option C) expertise and a background in M&E or building services. Location and Working Pattern

Ardrossan | Permanent | Site-based for approximately three days a week with flexibility for the remainder of the week.

Client Overview Our client is a respected building services specialist delivering complex projects across the UK. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, they provide high-quality solutions and long-term stability to their teams.

Responsibilities

• - Manage subcontractor accounts and overall commercial performance
• - Deliver accurate cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
• - Oversee valuations, applications, and payment processes
• - Manage variations, change control, and final accounts
• - Handle procurement and subcontract management activities
• - Operate within an NEC4 Option C contract framework

Must-have Requirements

• - Proven Quantity Surveying experience within M&E, building services, utilities, or related sectors
• - Strong NEC4 / Option C experience
• - Ability to manage subcontractors effectively
• - Previous involvement on complex, large-scale projects
• - Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
• - Relevant qualifications are advantageous, but experience is key

Nice-to-have Skills

• - Background in M&E (preferred, though similar sectors considered)
