Marketing Manager - ERP Software

£60,000-£80,000 + £20,000 bonus

Hybrid - two days per week in the East Midlands office

Are you an experienced ERP Marketing Manager looking for ownership of marketing strategy, a stable team and the opportunity to build a long-term career?

An established UK-owned ERP software business is looking for a commercially focused Marketing Manager. You will own the marketing strategy, budget and campaigns, with a clear focus on generating qualified opportunities for a successful sales team.

What you will do

• Own the marketing strategy, planning and budget.
• Deliver campaigns across Google PPC, SEO, social media and outbound lead generation.
• Organise exhibitions, showcase events and user groups.
• Work with SEO providers, including on the changing role of AI in search.
• Lead a small telesales and lead generation team, ensuring enquiries are qualified before reaching sales.
• Track campaign performance and work with sales to improve lead quality and conversion.
• You will market an established ERP solution to manufacturing businesses.

Working with the sales team

Alongside marketing, you will provide light-touch Manager for new business salespeople and account managers. This includes checking in on leads and pipeline activity, coordinating team availability and helping ensure enquiries receive timely follow-up.

You will support a successful, long-serving team with strong working relationships and a real sense of cohesion. Sales performance management, salary negotiations and motivation remain with the Managing Director.

There will also be occasional opportunities to accompany colleagues to client and prospect meetings or hospitality, typically once every month or two.

What you will bring

• A strong background in ERP marketing.
• Experience owning marketing strategy, budgets and campaigns.
• A commercial focus on generating quality leads for software sales.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, events and outbound lead generation.
• The ability to lead a telesales and lead generation team.
• Strong organisation skills and a collaborative approach.
• You will understand software licensing and professional services implementation projects, as these are critical elements of the sales and marketing process.
