We are looking for candidates who live locally and can easily commute to our store.

Our stores are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be able to manage early starts and late finishes.

At Toolstation, we're not just hiring for today – we're investing in your future and our own. Many of our managers began their journey on the shop floor and through dedication and the support of our award-winning apprenticeship programmes, they now lead their own stores or oversee significant operations.

This is your chance to build a successful career with one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers. As a Store Apprentice, you'll earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in key areas such as customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, business operations, and safety procedures.

• Engage with customers: Understand their needs and provide excellent service through genuine conversations.
• Get involved in store operations: Handle deliveries, stock shelves, and assist with warehouse tasks – be prepared to roll up your sleeves! There's a real family feel here and we all pitch in as part of a close‑knit team. And since there's always loads of support from those around you, you'll never feel like you're struggling.
• Keep things running smoothly: Maintain a clean and well‑organised store, ensuring everything is ready for our customers and safe for our colleagues.
• Learn while working: Set aside time each week to complete coursework, supported by your Store Manager and a dedicated apprenticeship coach

What you'll bring

• A positive attitude: A warm, friendly approach with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Reliability & flexibility: Show commitment to your team and customers, and adapt to the varied tasks that come your way.
• Energy & enthusiasm: No retail experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a drive to succeed.

What you'll get

• An award winning apprenticeship program that’s the equivalent of 5 GCSE’s. Check out what our apprentices have to say here
• A fast‑paced work environment where there is never a dull moment
• At Toolstation, your career is in your hands. You'll have the chance to move up the ladder, explore different roles across the business, or even take opportunities within the wider Travis Perkins Group.
• 30 days' holiday (comprising 22 days plus 8 days in lieu of bank holidays)
• Company pension scheme and life assurance
• Bonus scheme and cycle to work program
• Save and buy as you earn options
• 20% discount across all Travis Perkins companies
• Health and wellbeing support at your fingertips with Aviva Digicare +
• Financial education, support, and recognition awards
• Discounts at over 1,000 retailers

Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability
