To carry out skilled turkey preparation and portioning duties safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards within a fast-paced food production environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Trim turkey breasts to the required product specification.
• Work on the cone line, handling and preparing turkey products as required.
• Portion turkeys and turkey products accurately to specification.
• Use knives and relevant equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and working instructions.
• Work efficiently as part of the production team to support operational requirements.

Working pattern

Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 6:00 AM and working until finish. Shifts may be up to 10 hours long, depending on operational requirements.

Pay and Overtime

Basic Rate

£13.02 per hour

After training and sign off

Up to £14.02 per hour / £14.92 per hour

Overtime Rate

During training

£19.53 per hour

After training and sign-off

Up to £21.03 per hour / £22.38 per hour

Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked per week.

Training and Progression

Full training will be provided. Following successful completion of the required training and formal sign-off as competent, the basic hourly rate can increase to up to £14.02 per hour, with an overtime rate of up to £21.03 per hour.

Requirements

• A good level of English to understand instructions, training and Health & Safety requirements.
• Own transport to ensure reliable travel to and from the site.
• Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 AM until finish.
• Ability and willingness to work shifts of up to 10 hours.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Regular and consistent work.
