Senior Quantity Surveyor

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Rickmansworth, with travel to regional sites. The post oversees commercial performance across several projects and includes responsibility for developing the commercial team. The surveyor will negotiate subcontract terms and prices, administer work packages and interim assessments, and control contract changes.

Duties include issuing notices, dealing with compensation events and agreeing monthly client applications. Financial reporting covers cost-value reconciliation, while the role also requires managing risks and opportunities and supporting targets for cash, profit and capital returns. The appointment includes client meetings and contractual support to bidding colleagues.

Applicants should understand construction processes and standard contracts, demonstrate negotiation and final-account experience, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

MCIOB or MRICS qualifications, or progress towards membership, are desirable.
