About Amber Labs

The digital transformation partner for highly regulated industries. Our teams deliver digital transformation for organisations operating in complex, highly regulated environments. From securing national borders to supporting critical defence operations, we deliver secure AI, data, cloud and software solutions across high-stakes programmes.

What You'll Be Doing

We're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join a major transformation programme replacing a critical Debt Management service.

The programme is now in year two of a three-year journey, so this is a great time to join: the foundations are in place, delivery is well underway and the focus is on driving momentum, maintaining quality and keeping multiple teams aligned towards a successful replacement of the service.

You’ll lead delivery across multiple teams working within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, using Scrum and tools such as Jira and Confluence. You’ll work closely with engineering teams building on Azure, Java and Kubernetes, ensuring plans are realistic, dependencies are managed and progress is clearly visible to stakeholders and programme leadership.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading delivery across multiple agile teams within a large-scale transformation programme
  • Developing and maintaining programme and delivery plans, including timelines and roadmaps in Jira
  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting teams to deliver effectively within a SAFe framework
  • Supporting SAFe events such as PI Planning, helping teams plan, commit and align to programme objectives
  • Managing dependencies, risks and issues across teams and workstreams, escalating where needed
  • Providing clear progress reporting to programme leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintaining delivery documentation and team information in Confluence
  • Working closely with engineering teams delivering on Azure, Java and Kubernetes to understand technical progress and constraints
  • Removing blockers and creating an environment where teams can deliver at pace
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, product owners, technical leads and delivery partners

What We’re Looking For

You will need:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong leadership experience, including leading or coordinating delivery across multiple teams
  • Strong programme planning experience, including managing timelines, milestones and dependencies
  • Hands‑on experience using Jira to manage backlogs, plans and delivery timelines
  • Experience using Confluence to support documentation and collaboration
  • Strong experience working within Scrum teams
  • Experience working within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
  • Experience delivering alongside engineering teams working with cloud technologies, ideally Azure
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience managing risks, issues and dependencies through to resolution
  • Familiarity with Java-based development and Kubernetes environments
  • Experience delivering the replacement or modernisation of business‑critical services
  • Experience within debt management, financial services or other highly regulated environments
  • Relevant certifications such as SAFe, Scrum Master, PRINCE2 Agile or equivalent

What's In It For You

We believe benefits should be practical: things that genuinely support your day-to-day, give you flexibility and help you keep developing.

Here are a few of our perks:

  • Private medical insurance with Bupa
  • Remote‑first working, with access to our Liverpool Street office
  • Personal training budget to support your professional development
  • Perkbox membership, with discounts across retail, travel, dining and wellness
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme after one year of service
  • Referral scheme offering up to £3,000 for successful hires
  • Your choice of PC or Mac

How We Work

We've worked hard to build a team of people who are experts at what they do. Because of that, we'll trust you to get on with your job and give you the space to do it well. But you'll always have plenty of support around you whenever you need it, whether that's to sense-check an approach, tackle a tricky client challenge or simply bounce ideas around.

We keep our structure flat and our processes straightforward. If you have a good idea, you'll be encouraged to run with it, and if something could be done better, we'll encourage you to say so. Ultimately, we work with people who take pride in their work, support their team and want to leave things better than they found them.

A Human Approach to Hiring

We use AI responsibly, in our client projects and internally. When it comes to hiring, though, there are always real people behind the process. Decisions throughout the recruitment process, from CV review and progressing to interview through to making an offer, are made by our Talent team.

Diversity & Inclusion

Amber Labs is an equal opportunities employer, and we're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to do their best work, regardless of background, identity or experience.

If there's anything we can do to make the recruitment process more accessible or comfortable for you, just let our Talent team know and we'll be happy to help.
