MEP Commercial Manager - Stansted

Crown House Technologies seeks an MEP Commercial Manager for the Stansted Airport Transformation Programme. The employer is Laing O'Rourke's specialist MEP delivery business. The permanent position is based in Stansted and covers a major mechanical, electrical and public-health package on the airport development.

The manager will lead commercial work through pre-construction and construction, prepare cost reports and forecasts, and review contracts.

Responsibilities include:

• procurement
• subcontract administration
• variations
• claims
• change control

The recruit will advise project teams on contractual matters, support budget setting and financial control, and elevate commercial risks when necessary. Relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project participants form part of the role, as does developing junior commercial staff. The employer welcomes experienced Senior Commercial Managers and Commercial Managers ready for greater responsibility.

Applicants need MEP commercial-management experience gained with a specialist contractor or main contractor, along with strong NEC contract knowledge. A relevant degree in quantity surveying or commercial management is required. Candidates should be able to manage financial performance and commercial delivery while supporting the wider project team.

RICS membership or progress towards chartered status is preferred.
