Managing Quantity Surveyor

VolkerStevin is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor for work in the Warrington and Macclesfield area. Warrington is the location displayed on this permanent posting. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful applicant will lead commercial and contractual work on assigned projects and manage the commercial team supporting their delivery.

The position covers tender assessment, procurement scheduling and the first profit and loss forecast. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will oversee subcontract administration, support dispute mitigation and help let packages within budget. Client-facing work includes discussing potential changes or disputes and providing monthly cash-flow and final-account forecasts.

The post also covers team resources and the tracking of warranties, guarantees and bonds.

After construction, responsibilities include:

• contract reviews
• settling subcontracts
• obtaining signed final accounts

The holder retains project responsibility until the defects certificate is issued. Applicants need relevant surveyor experience and a quantity-surveying degree, which the posting identifies as essential. Professional accreditation and relevant technical qualification routes are also listed.
