European High Yield Credit Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our client's European credit research team in London, with primary coverage responsibility for High Yield corporate credit opportunities across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in contributing to a global platform, working alongside high quality portfolio managers and analysts.

The successful candidate will deliver rigorous fundamental analysis, pitch investment ideas to portfolio managers, generate new ideas and actively monitor existing holdings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis of European High Yield credit issuers
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including downside and stress scenarios
• Develop clear investment theses and present recommendations to portfolio managers
• Monitor credits, news flow, earnings, and industry developments
• Engage with company management, sell-side analysts, and other market participants
• Contribute to portfolios with relative value analysis

Candidate Profile

• 5-10+ years of relevant experience in credit research, preferably from buy-side
• Strong understanding of High Yield credit markets
• Flexible on current sector coverage, other than financials
• Proven financial modelling and analytical skills, including relative value analysis
• Ability to form independent views and communicate them clearly and concisely
• Strong academic background and professional credibility with internal stakeholders
• Self-starter with sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, differentiated thinking, and attention to detail
• Long term investment horizon with an owners mindset
