Nicholas Howard are delighted to be recruiting for a Data Culture Enablement Lead

We're looking for a Data Culture Enablement Lead to help our client change the way the organisation thinks about and uses data.

The role will be remote with time as needed in London/ Hampshire office.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you'll sit at the point where data, technology and the wider business meet . Your role will be to make data governance practical, build ownership and help people understand why getting data right really matters.

This is a people-focused role. You'll work with senior leaders, operational teams and technical specialists to influence behaviours, build confidence and embed better ways of working.

What you'll do

  • Build awareness of data as a shared business asset and champion better data practices.
  • Help establish and embed Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities across key data areas.
  • Make topics such as data governance, data quality and Master Data Management simple and relevant to business users.
  • Work closely with technology and data teams to bridge business needs and technical solutions.
  • Help improve data quality at source by tackling the causes of poor data, not just fixing the symptoms.
  • Build understanding of how data moves between systems and the wider impact of changes.
  • Develop and deliver engaging communications, workshops and training.
  • Identify resistance to change and work with teams to build adoption.
  • Track progress and help the organisation improve its data maturity over time.

What we're looking for

You'll combine data knowledge with strong communication and change skills.

You'll be someone who:

  • Can make complex data concepts easy to understand.
  • Is confident working with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Can influence people without relying on formal authority.
  • Enjoys presenting, facilitating workshops and coaching others.
  • Is comfortable challenging existing ways of working.
  • Takes a practical, business-focused approach to data governance.
  • Builds relationships easily and can bring people together around a common goal.

Experience in areas such as data governance, data quality, data stewardship, MDM, transformation, organisational change, stakeholder engagement or enterprise systems would be valuable.

You don't need to be a technical expert, but you should be comfortable discussing data architecture, integrations, APIs, data models and data flows with technical teams.

The opportunity

This is a chance to have a real impact on how an organisation manages and uses its data - helping move data governance from a set of processes and policies to something people understand, own and actually use every day.
