Role : Principal / Senior Java Developer – Elite FinTech

Rate: Up to£750 per day

Location :London

They are looking for an exceptionalPrincipal / Senior Java Developer to join a high-calibre engineering environment, working alongside some of the industry's strongest developers, architects and technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performanceserver-side Java applications
• Work across both greenfield and complex brownfield environments
• Take ownership of significant technical challenges and drive solutions through to completion
• Collaborate with highly experienced engineers, architects and product specialists
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Work effectively within fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making
• Optimise systems for scalability, reliability and performance
• Mentor and support other engineers where appropriate
• Engage directly with stakeholders and contribute to delivering business-critical technology

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience withJava
• Extensive experience developingserver-side Java applications
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience working on complex, high-scale systems
• Strong understanding of application architecture and design
• Linux experience

Post-trade experience is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have worked on systems supporting areas such as

• Trade capture and processing
• Trade lifecycle management
• Confirmation and settlement
