School Administrator
Cheshire
Are you organised, professional, and confident working in a busy school environment?
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
A friendly and established Primary School in Ipswich is looking for an organised and personable School Administrator to join its busy school office.
This position would suit an administrator who enjoys working with people, takes pride in accurate work and can remain organised when the school day becomes busy. You will provide essential administrative support to the school while acting as a professional point of contact for families and visitors.
The School Administrator will have a varied role, with responsibilities ranging from answering enquiries and maintaining records to supporting school events and general office administration.
You will regularly communicate with parents and carers, both by telephone and email and in person. You will need to provide helpful information while understanding when a query needs to be passed to a teacher, senior leader or another member of staff.
Maintaining accurate pupil information will also be an important responsibility. You will update databases, process forms, maintain records and ensure that information is stored appropriately.
You may also assist with attendance, admissions, trips, meetings and other administrative processes. The school therefore needs someone who is flexible and willing to support different areas of the office as required.
This Primary School in Ipswich is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment where children are encouraged to learn and develop.
The school values strong relationships with parents and carers and understands the important role the administration team plays in maintaining effective communication between home and school.
Students are encouraged to work hard, develop confidence and become increasingly independent. Staff work together to provide appropriate academic and pastoral support.
The successful School Administrator will join a collaborative team and will communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, senior leaders, pupils and families.
The school is looking for someone who is approachable but professional, organised but flexible, and able to manage routine administration while responding appropriately to unexpected requests.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to complete all relevant DBS, safeguarding and pre-employment checks.
