Associate Director / Director Building Surveyor

Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading multidisciplinary property consultancy to appoint an Associate Director / Senior Associate Director / Director -Building Surveyor for its Manchester office.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious MRICS Building Surveyor who is looking to play a pivotal role in shaping and growing an established Building Surveying team. The appointment is available at Associate Director, Senior Associate Director or Director level , depending on experience, making it an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up or an existing Director seeking a fresh challenge. The business has exciting growth plans across the North, and this hire will be instrumental in driving the Building Surveying service forward, developing new opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships.

This is a leadership role that combines project delivery, business development and team management. You'll take the lead on a broad range of project and professional Building Surveying instructions, including Contract Administration and Employer's Agent commissions, while supporting the strategic growth of the Manchester office. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape business plans, manage resources, mentor junior surveyors and ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and commercial standards.

Business development will be a key part of the role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and winning work. You don't need to arrive with a large client following, but you must have the commercial mindset, confidence and credibility to develop new business, strengthen existing accounts and represent the business at networking events, client meetings and industry engagements. You'll also work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines to maximise opportunities and promote the wider consultancy offering.

The successful candidate will have a strong consultancy background with experience delivering both project and professional Building Surveying services across the commercial property sector. You'll possess excellent technical knowledge, be confident managing complex instructions for both private and public sector clients and have a proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior colleagues and deliver exceptional client service. Strong financial awareness, resource planning skills and the ability to contribute to the wider business strategy are essential.

MRICS qualified, you'll already be operating at Associate Director, Senior Associate Director or Director level, with the ambition and commercial drive to help grow a successful business. More than anything, this role is suited to someone who enjoys being front and centre with clients, leading teams, developing people and creating new opportunities rather than simply focusing on technical delivery alone.
