Salary: £45,000 per annum plus competitive commission

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Field Sales & Business Development Manager to join an established supplier within the security and access-control sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished field sales professional to take ownership of business development across Hertfordshire and throughout the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, generating new business and developing strong, long‑term relationships with new and existing customers.

You will promote a comprehensive range of door-entry, access‑control and CCTV products, identifying new markets and establishing the business as a preferred supplier within the sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver a focused field sales and business development strategy.
Identify, target and secure new customers across Hertfordshire and the wider UK.
Increase brand awareness within relevant trade and commercial markets.
Build relationships with security installers, electrical contractors, facilities-management providers, property professionals and other trade customers.
Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings, site visits, product presentations and demonstrations.
Understand customers' technical and commercial requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Generate sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and industry contacts.
Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification through to quotation, negotiation and close.
Develop existing accounts by identifying opportunities for repeat business, additional product lines and increased spend.
Maintain an accurate and well-managed pipeline of prospective and active opportunities.
Achieve agreed sales, revenue and new‑business targets.
Monitor competitor activity, customer demand and wider market developments.
Attend relevant trade shows, exhibitions and networking events when required.
