Telecommunications Network Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Telecommunications Network Planner to contribute to their future growth, operating remotely with a focus on their network strategy in the East London area. This role is responsible for forecasting future network needs, designing network expansion plans, and ensuring capacity meets demand. You will analyze network traffic, evaluate new technologies, and develop long-term strategies to optimize network performance and coverage. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of telecommunications network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current network performance, traffic patterns, and capacity utilization.
• Develop detailed network expansion and upgrade plans, including capacity forecasts.
• Evaluate emerging telecommunications technologies and their potential impact on network strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment between planning and execution.
• Prepare reports and presentations on network capacity, performance, and future requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network design, planning, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with various telecommunications technologies (e.g., fiber optics, wireless, IP networking).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting, focusing on the needs of the East London region.
