Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Security Architect to design and oversee the implementation of secure IT infrastructure and systems in East London . This role is paramount in defining the organization's security blueprint, ensuring that security is embedded into the core of all technological solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient architectures. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise-level IT architectures, including network, cloud, and application security.
• Establish security standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to meet business needs and mitigate risks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security matters to project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed architectures and systems.
• Develop and maintain security reference architectures and design patterns.
• Stay informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and architectural trends.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant architectural certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA) are highly valued.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, with a significant portion focused on security architecture.
• Proven experience designing secure architectures for complex IT environments, including cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises systems.
• Deep understanding of security principles, frameworks, and controls across multiple domains (network, endpoint, application, data).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
