Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist - Flexible Hours
Broadstairs, Kent
Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust in Kent is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community CAMHS team serving Thanet…
As a Consultant Psychiatrist within our team, you will be at the forefront of providing essential mental health and learning disability services to a diverse population of 1.8 million people in Kent and Medway. This role offers a unique chance to have a meaningful impact on the lives of the individuals under our care, while also providing a fulfilling career with exceptional opportunities for professional growth.
At Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust, we place a strong emphasis on fostering medical leadership. We actively promote, recognise, and highly value the leadership capabilities of all our medical staff. We provide doctors at every level with the opportunity to engage in leadership development and pursue growth opportunities tailored to their specific areas of interest.
Our dedication to medical leadership is evident in the outstanding results of last year’s staff survey, where our responses surpassed the national average across multiple categories. Nearly 70% of our doctors expressed feeling valued and appreciated in their roles, resulting in increased participation and engagement in shaping our service development and delivery decisions.
This is a 10 PA plus 0.5 PA and 3% Category A availability supplement for on‑call post. Part time or job‑share applications are welcome.
Successful applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.
We are Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust. We care for the mental health and well‑being of people across Kent and Medway and are rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our teams support children, young people and adults with a wide range of mental health needs. We also provide specialist services, including all-age eating disorder services and neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, such as autism and ADHD.
Because we work across the whole county and across hospital and community settings, we can make care more joined up and easier to access for the people we serve.
Our vision is simple: we are here to help communities not just live with mental illness, but live well. It’s why we’re passionate about working with communities to make mental health care better for everyone. Everything we do is guided by our values: caring, inclusive, curious and confident.
Join us if you share our passion for better mental health care and want to be part of a team that’s working well together.
