The Role

Metalyte Pipeworks is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive growth across Italy and international markets.

This role is focused on generating new opportunities, securing meetings, developing customer relationships and growing revenue.

Working closely with our engineering, logistics, operations and technician teams, you will manage opportunities from first contact through to project completion.

Many customer meetings and presentations are carried out face-to-face, so applicants must enjoy travelling and building relationships in person.

There will be regular travel throughout Italy, Europe and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate new business opportunities across the oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, marine, water and industrial sectors.
Build and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
Arrange and attend customer meetings, presentations and site visits.
Deliver technical and commercial presentations.
Identify new markets, customers and commercial opportunities.
Work closely with engineering, logistics, operations and technician teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Attend exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts.
Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Represent Metalyte professionally both onshore and offshore.
Fluent Italian and English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Native or near-native Italian preferred.
Ability to confidently present, negotiate and build relationships in both Italian and English.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, technical sales or account management.
Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Full driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively.

Location:

This role can be based in either Italy or the UK.

Candidates based in the UK should ideally be located within a reasonable commuting distance of Surrey and be willing to travel regularly to Italy.

Candidates based in Italy are also encouraged to apply but must be willing to travel to the UK periodically for meetings, training and team activities.
