Estimator
London
We are currently working with an established civil engineering contractor specialising in rail, civil engineering and energy infrastructure projects.
That's why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done!
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Estimator to join our team, to support the commercial and pre-construction activities of major water infrastructure projects, helping to produce accurate cost estimates that inform how projects are planned and delivered.
Working alongside experienced estimators, environmental professionals, commercial teams and operational leaders, you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects, developing a strong understanding of civil engineering, utilities and environmental delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in estimating. You'll receive structured development, mentoring and on-the-job training from a highly experienced and professional team who will support you in developing both your technical and commercial skills.
You're degree-qualified in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management etc. and you're keen to build your career within an estimating and commercial environment.
You have strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
An interest in understanding construction drawings and specifications and willing to learn how to interpret these with the support of the team.
A logical and methodical approach.
Exposure to site environments or the built environment, through placements, university projects or work experience would be helpful but isn't essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and generally highly computer literate.
A full, clean UK driving licence is also required
Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
All candidates must have the full right to work in the UK without restriction and without a need for sponsorship either now or in the future
