Join Havering Council as a Service Administrator and play a vital role in supporting the Safeguarding and Corporate Parenting Service. You’ll manage communications, organise diaries, coordinate meetings, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth service delivery. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll work closely with senior managers and teams across the council to help deliver excellent services for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Organise diaries and schedules for senior management.
Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
Maintain records and databases in line with policies.
Support administrative tasks such as arranging birth certificates and passports.
Coordinate with internal teams for seamless service delivery.
Provide cover for other Service Administrators when required.

What You’ll Bring

GCSE level education or equivalent qualification/business experience.
Experience in administrative support within local authority, health, education, or similar settings.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information in line with GDPR.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
