AV Hire & Events Account Manager

Location: East London
Department: Hire Desk
Reports to: Company Director
Employment Type: Full-Time

JOB OPPORTUNITY: AV HIRE & EVENTS ACCOUNT MANAGER

About Us

Ambien is a leading provider of audio-visual solutions, delivering high-quality AV services across events, exhibitions, film shoots, and live environments. We operate across multiple brands: London Audio Visual (AV & LED Hire) Ambien360 (Exhibition Stands) Silvertown Studios (Virtual Production). We’re a hands‑on, fast‑paced team focused on delivering real projects and great client experiences.

The Role

We’re looking for an AV Hire & Events Account Manager to join our London team. This is a desk‑based, client‑facing role focused on handling incoming enquiries, putting together AV solutions, and managing projects from enquiry through to delivery. You’ll be speaking to a mix of clients — from agencies to direct brands — understanding what they need (without overcomplicating it), and turning that into clear, well‑priced AV solutions. You’ll also manage your own accounts and look to grow business over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling Enquiries: Speak to incoming leads, understand requirements, and propose the right AV solutions
• Quoting: Prepare and send estimates and formal quotations in a timely manner
• Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients
• Project Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of events and hires
• Account Growth: Develop your own portfolio and identify opportunities to grow revenue
• Problem Solving: Deal with issues quickly and practically when they arise
• Communication: Be the main point of contact for your clients throughout the process

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in AV hire, events, or exhibitions
• Good understanding of AV equipment and setups
• Someone who is commercially aware, not just technical
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple jobs
• A hands‑on, proactive attitude

Ideal Background

• Previous experience in an AV hire desk / events office role
• OR a technician looking to move into a more office‑based role

What We Offer

• Competitive salary (based on experience)
• Company pension
• Birthday off every year
• Company events
• A growing, supportive team environment
• Opportunity to work on a wide range of live events, exhibitions, and projects

Ambien is an equal opportunity employer. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Join us and be part of a team delivering high‑quality AV across some great projects.
