Department: Consulting

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Manchester

Reporting To: Peter McCormack

Description

CMap is a fast-growing software company helping project-based businesses win, deliver, and manage work… profitably.

At our core, we’re problem-solvers. That means our consultancy team is central to our success — guiding clients to adopt CMap in ways that transform their business. We focus on delivering exceptional onboarding, building strong business processes, and ensuring our clients get maximum value from our platform.

Our consultants are trusted to lead projects from start to finish, challenge the status quo, and help clients unlock new ways of working. We combine expertise in project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement with deep product knowledge to make sure every implementation delivers measurable impact.

We’re proud of our product and even prouder of our people. Collaboration, openness, and input from across the business drive both our culture and our success. We keep things friendly and informal, but we’re serious about delivering exceptional results for our clients — and enjoying the journey together.

What we’re looking for:

As a Senior Consultant at CMap, you’ll take the lead on complex client engagements — owning the relationship, setting the direction, and being the trusted voice in the room when it matters most. You’ll bring the polish and grounding of a proper consulting background, applied to real client outcomes rather than internal process.

• Own and lead client engagements end-to-end, from scoping through to successful delivery
• Act as the senior, trusted voice for clients — including at C-suite level
• Bring genuine business context to every engagement — understanding not just what a client’s business does, but why it works the way it does
• Help shape how CMap’s Consulting team delivers, contributing to best practice as the team grows
• Support and set an example for less experienced colleagues on the team

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 5+ years’ professional consulting experience, ideally including time in a Big Four, boutique, or comparable consultancy
• Demonstrated experience managing senior, complex, or global client relationships with genuine composure under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication, credible in front of C-suite stakeholders
• A working point of view on how AI and technology are reshaping business models in professional services
• A genuine, roll‑sleeves‑up attitude — we’re looking for real people, not corporate polish for its own sake

What we offer:

• Private medical & dental insurance: Supporting your health and wellbeing with access to private care.
• Life assurance: Providing extra financial security for you and your loved ones.
• : 24/7 support for your health and wellbeing.
• Enhanced parental leave: Offering time and support when it matters most.
• Reward Gateway: Access to discounts on a wide range of everyday purchases.
• Team outings and events: Regular chances to connect and unwind.
• EV Salary Sacrifice: Pay for your new EV vehicle directly from your salary
• Manchester city-centre office: A modern WeWork space with great facilities and free barista coffee.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability status.
